Sir Alexander Douglas (died January 1718) was MP for Orkney and Shetland, in Scotland, from 1708 to 1713. He was the first MP for the constituency. He was the son of William Douglas of Egilsay and Marjorie Monteith.
He had previously been a Member of Parliament of Scotland.[1] He was appointed the Chamberlain of the Bishopric of Orkney in 1710, which brought a salary or pension of £1000 Scots and knighted in 1707,
He was succeeded by George Douglas, later 13th earl of Morton.[2]
